The Final Tour

Affectionately known as the world’s most infamous rock band, Motley Crue is taking the stage for one last “hoorah” on the band’s Final Tour this summer. Alice Cooper, another legend in rock, will join the band as an opening act on this once-in-a-lifetime tour. For fans who are skeptical of the band’s “good-bye,” the band members have signed a legally binding document stating they will not tour together beyond 2015.

The farewell tour will last at least two years and the band describes the trek as a huge celebration. Alice Cooper and Motley Crue have never shared the stage, but the two-bill show is shaping up to be one of the biggest rock tours of the summer, and a must-see for any rock fan.

Motley Crue is celebrating more than 30 years together, 9 studio albums and more than 80 million album copies sold. The tour will hit 72 cities before coming to a close. Crue is planning to end their three decade career in 2014 while they’re still at the peak of their career. The four original members of the band: Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil will complete all 72 shows together before finally parting ways. Motley Crue is the first band to sign a Cessation of Touring agreement, making the tour a true final good-bye.

Motely Crue formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx were the band’s founding members who were led by guitarist Mick Mars and singer Vince Neil. The band rose to international fame between 1984 and 1991 when they released their most successful albums: Shout at the Devil, Girls, Girls, Girls, and Theatre of Pain. Motley Crue is considered one of the best-selling bands of all time

Alice Cooper’s career spans five decades with a notorious reputation of putting on outrageous and theatrical stage shows. Cooper is credited as being the founder of “Shock Rock.” He’s released 26 albums throughout his career and is considered the world’s most beloved heavy metal entertainer.
